Our Mission:

Swillings Coffee aims to empower farmers, pickers, sorters, and roasters in Colombia to learn the best growing techniques, earn livable wages, and be prepared for the ever evolving climate.

We roast at origin, as close as possible to growers, with a trusted partner. We work with the growers and roaster as a team. By roasting at origin, this process eliminates the typical 17 middle-men that handle the coffee and the standard 2-4 month wait time for coffee to go from farm to cup. By removing these processes, our coffee is Harvest-Fresh.

Meet The Team:

Karl Wienhold, Co-Founder

Based in Bogotá, but more likely found running around the jungle and countryside hunting great coffee and working with farmers, Karl is passionate about rural development in Latin America, all things Colombian, and naturally, consuming and sharing the best coffees the country has to offer.

C'pher Gresham, Co-Founder

Bringing sustainable impactful change to communities across the world has been a passion for C'pher from a young age. He dreams about seeing a world full of entrepreneurs creating a safer, cleaner, better environment for generations to come.

Jon Paul Aultman, Co-Founder

An avid coffee enthusiast, Jon Paul has spent time at all stages along the coffee supply chain including harvesting at the farm level. It was this experience that proved the sustainable impact specialty coffee has on coffee-growing communities across the world.

Our Story:

We are three Thunderbird MBA graduates who are passionate about quality coffee and bringing impactful change to communities across the world. By working directly with coffee farmers in Colombia, we are working to help alleviate the cycle of poverty within the coffee community.

Co-founders Karl, C'pher, and Jon Paul, enjoyed sipping coffee while working late nights together. Over several pour-overs, a lot of coffee talk, and a goal to make the world a more equitable place, they set out to help.

Karl lived in Colombia and saw first hand the toll narco-traffickers, guerrilla warfare, and neglect has taken on growing communities. He felt inspired to return to Colombia and work with the farmers to help them to succeed.

Having worked in the pineapple capital of Thailand for years, C'pher learned how agricultural communities have vibrant cultures and traditions to share with the rest of the world. C'pher wants to empower communities to show their stories and culture.

Jon Paul lived on a coffee farm in Costa Rica and learned the beauty, the art, and difficulty of harvesting coffee. Seeing the daily struggles of the farmers and the pickers motived Jon Paul to pursue helping local farmers benefit the most from their toils.

These experiences galvanized the team to create Swillings Coffee.

We hope you enjoy the coffee from the farmers, pickers, sorters, and roasters of Colombia.
